(ECNS)--Houtong, once a coal-producing town in the 20th century, is now home to hundreds of cats and a tourist attraction.
In the past, the coal miners kept cats to get rid of mice. As the coal mines fell over time, the cats stayed, reproduced and were cared for by local residents, and has become part of local life.
