(ECNS) -- After four years of renovation, Shouhuang Palace in Jingshan Park opened to public for free recently.
The Palace was first built in 1749 during the Qing dynasty in the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1711-1799).
It's the second largest architectural complex on the central axis of Beijing after the Forbidden City.
It was the last such complex to open to the public.
