(ECNS) — Rescuers have arrived at quake-hit Hualien, South China's Taiwan, after a 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit the area, killing four people and injuring more than 200 as of 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.
The earthquake jolted waters near Hualien at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 24.13 degrees north latitude and 121.71 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 11 kilometers, said the CENC.
