(ECNS) -- World Sculpture Park in Changchun City has recently created 120 impressive, innovative works by combining ice and snow sculptures with those already in the park.
"The work behind me is originally named Phoenix Tower, with the head of a phoenix in the middle and the tail of the phoenix on both sides," said Shan Hongmei, head of tourism development at Changchun World Sculpture Park.
"Our creators first used large equipment to pile snow onto the middle of the sculpture and then carved a new sculpture of an elephant," she added.
"The artists are very clever. They filled balloons with water and turned them into ice balls in the snow. They then connected all the ice balls to form what we have today."
Most of the artists are university students.
"I think the idea is great. The sculpture is very interesting. I come from Guizhou. This is the first time for me to see it. It's quite a pleasant surprise," said a tourist.
The park is also open at night for tourists.
