(ECNS) -- U.S. President Donald Trump and DPRK top leader Kim Jong Un met at Hanoi Metropole hotel for their second summit on Wednesday.
Before the summit, Trump said he believed the talks would be "very successful" in the denuclearization efforts of the Korean peninsula.
The two sides communicated one-on-one for 20 minutes starting at 6:40.
Then they had dinner together.
Kim said he was confident of achieving great results that everyone will welcome.
Trump said it was an honor to meet Kim Jong Un and that they had a good relationship.
In addition, he said the DPRK has tremendous economic potential.
Trump said they will hold separate talks, an expanded meeting and press conference.
Trump will leave Vietnam on Feb. 28.
Kim Jong Un, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, will stay until March 2.
