(ECNS) -- Tao Jin, 55, is a blind painter in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
He has studied blind painting for more than 20 years, with his works sent to Britain, Germany, the U.S. and other places for exhibition.
Some of his works were also collected by China Braille Library.
Tao showed us his painting skills. In just half an hour, lifelike "River in Spring" was finished.
Tao was born blind. It was very difficult when he first started painting.
A bottle of ink, a stack of xuan paper, a few brush pens, and three or five bowls, were all the things for Tao's paintings.
"What I draw most is the bamboo," he said, adding that "I want to live as upright and tenacious as the bamboo."
In addition to painting, Tao also insists on listening to books to keep learning.
Tao said he hopes his experience would encourage more blind people not to lose faith in life.
