AsiaWorld-Expo, a world-class venue in Hong Kong, has unveiled a digital and immersive version of "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival", a renowned Chinese painting that dates back to the Northern Song dynasty of the 11th century.
The exhibition that integrates art, culture and technology includes an animated scroll, dome theatre and Song Dynasty Park.
It offers a digital translation of the original scroll, a visual depiction of the historical background and a three-dimensional presentation of details in the painting, immersing visitors in an experiential landscape of ancient Bianjing, present-day Kaifeng in Henan Province.
