(ECNS) -- Zhu Yue, a 40-year-old aircraft enthusiast, has fulfilled his childhood dream of building a 1:1 scale model of a passenger airplane in Tieling City of Liaoning Province.
The appearance of the model is nearly the same as a real aircraft, with an interior that simulates the presidential plane from abroad. The project also features a realistic cockpit. Passengers can experience manipulating the plane.
He has already worked two years and spent over 3 mln yuan ($424,140) on the design and parts for the model.
Zhu dropped out of school and has done various labor and construction jobs for the last 20 years. His experience and savings helped him accomplish the project.
For now, Zhu's model has become a local tourist attraction, wowing many online users. Before its completion, the project was subject to sarcasm and ridicule, but this only spurred him on. Zhu plans to earn more money and invest in his next dream.
