Yu Hong, an image collector in Shenyang of Liaoning Province, cherishes thousands of old postcards that trace history.
During his early years working in Russia, he unexpectedly found many postcards capturing scenes in Northeast China from early modern times.
These postcards display rich and authentic historical features, which has encouraged Yu to increasingly seek out more images.
Yu enjoys purchasing collections abroad, spending up to a million yuan (about $140,000).
Collecting is a kind of happiness, he said.
