(ECNS) -- Visayan warty pigs, a critically endangered species, have been spotted building nests by using bark and sticks to lift and move soil at a Parisian zoo.
It is the first time pigs have been seen displaying the ability to use tools.
Expert say it might unlock a clue to how cognition evolves and how pigs’ bodies are linked to their environments.
The finding was released in the journal Mammalian Biology.
