(ECNS) -- The Beijing police announced the official entry of six cloned dogs into the force on Wednesday.
At the ceremony, trainers put badges, colored collars and uniforms on the six cloned dogs.
The six dogs were born in August, four of which were from the same litter.
Their DNA is over 99 percent the same as the donor dogs.
The cloned dogs are only around four months old, but they have exhibited the same abilities as six-month-old non-cloned police dogs in terms of memory, courage and aggression.
The police dog base will continue to work with enterprises on the research of batch cloning of police dogs.
