(ECNS)-- The 2019 final of the China rock climbing series was held at the Kuimen Gate of the Three Gorges in Chongqing on Dec. 22.
Kuimen Gate, the entrance to the Qutang Gorge, stands upstream from a narrow canyon saddled by steep cliffs.
Male competitors had to climb to a height of 80 meters in eight minutes, while women had to reach 50 meters.
Xiang Hongchun, the only female competitor, won the prize, while the men’s winner fell short at 76.8 meters.
