(ECNS) -- After spending the winter in Kunming, Yunnan Province, the black-headed gulls will soon make their journey back home to Siberia.
Some residents have come to say farewell since bird habitats reopened to the public after a one-month closure.
Those bird-lovers who cannot come ordered bird food and resorted to deliverymen.
Wang Guitao, a local food deliveryman, said he received five such orders in just one day.
The local authorities had organized staff to feed the birds during the closure.
The red-billed oceanic birds have migrated to Kunming every winter since 1985.
