(ECNS) -- Sinopec has built a new melt-blown non-woven fabric production line to bolster the raw material supply for face masks.
The project is the first melt-blown cloth production line by Sinopec's subsidiary Yizheng Chemical Fibre Limited in Yizheng City, Jiangsu Province.
It took only 35 days from the commencement on Feb. 24 to production on Sunday.
Altogether 12 production lines will be completed by the end of May, with daily capacity reaching 12 tons of N95 melt-blown non-woven fabric or 18 tons of raw materials for medical masks.
These materials can be used to produce 18 million disposable medical masks per day.
