(ECNS) -- Wuhan City has encouraged citizens who meet the standards to donate blood in support of the fight against the COVID-19.
Donors wearing masks queued in front of the city's blood donation centers on Thursday.
Many citizens said it was their first time stepping out of their homes after the city ended the lockdown on Wednesday.
Bloodmobiles will be sent to local communities for donors' convenience.
By 6:00 p.m. on April 9, 3,927 citizens had donated blood.
