(ECNS)--Chongqing Crown Grand Escalator, Asia's second longest, has ceased operation for three months to undergo maintenance, starting Monday.
The escalator is 112m long, with a lift altitude of 52.7m and a slope of 30 degrees.
The whole tour clocks in at 2 mins and 30 seconds.
Connecting Lianglukou Metro Station and Caiyuanba Railway Station, the escalator was put into use in 1996.
The escalator, the country's longest, has long been a popular tourist draw.
