(ECNS) -- An exhibition was unveiled in Southwest China's Chongqing to display 47 artworks of three Chinese Pioneer Painters — Qi Baishi, Xu Beihong and Zhang Daqian.
The show marks their courage in challenging rigid academic rules and experimental spirit in the reform of classical Chinese ink paintings of the 20th century.
The last joint art show of the three giants occurred in the city of Tianjin in October 1947.
