(ECNS) -- With a passion for Chinese history and the Chinese language, Irina left her hometown to become a Ukrainian teacher at Xi'an International Studies University three years ago.
Irina came to Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, from Lviv in Ukraine.
Her husband, Yuri, also works as a karate teacher at the university.
The couple has become popular on the campus.
To Irina, Xi'an, which has a long history and rich culture, is similar to her hometown.
She has gradually grown to feel at home here.
Their daughter is studying in Xi'an now, and the family regard the city as their second home where they hope to stay for a long time.
