(ECNS) -- Beijing began mass immunization against COVID-19 on Jan. 1, 2021.
The key groups include frontline customs inspectors of imported cold-chain goods and personnel working in the overseas and domestic transportation sectors.
No serious side effects have been observed among the vaccine receivers.
"I'm engaged in catering services. Mass immunization against COVID-19 is good news, so I came here to receive inoculation soon after I was informed. There is no special reaction after the vaccination," said a vaccine receiver surnamed Ren.
Beijing has vaccinated more than 73,000 people in the two days since the mass immunization began on Friday.
