(ECNS) -- The construction of the Tiaoshun Cross-Sea Bridge was completed on Monday.
With a total length of about 9.36 km, the bridge spans Zhanjiang Bay, connecting the eastern and western areas of Zhanjiang City.
The main bridge is 591 meters long and the main span is 296 meters.
It is a two-tower cable-stayed bridge with two cable planes.
The whole deck is 37.5 meters wide, with a dual six-lane structure and a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
As the second cross-sea bridge in Zhanjiang Bay, the Tiaoshun Cross-sea Bridge has become a landmark bridge in the city, and will function as the traffic artery and the bay landscape.
It is expected to open to traffic in May and boost the connection between western Guangdong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
