(ECNS) -- A snow leopard foraging was photographed by a local herder in Bayanbulak Grassland, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
In the video, the fur color of this strong snow leopard was close to the color of the nearby rocks. From time to time, it turned its head and lowered its body to observe its surroundings.
In winter, snow leopards haunt Bayanbulak Grassland, which sits at an average altitude of 2,500 meters.
Known as the "King of the Snowy Mountains", snow leopards are under first-class state protection in China.
