(ECNS) -- Various hand-made vegetable paintings hang over a humble vegetable stall at a wet market in Lanzhou, NW China's Gansu Province.
Many Chinese "Fu" (felicity) characters spelled with hand-painted vegetables such as tomatoes, corn, turnips and bitter gourds are placed in prominent positions in the stall.
Hu Erling, the stall owner, has been engaged in the vegetable business for over 20 years. She is famous in nearby neighborhoods for her vegetable paintings.
She likes drawing on foam boards in her spare time. She believes that hand-painted "Fu" characters can add more spirit to the Spring Festival.
