(ECNS) -- The largest span continuous beam of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway in Bekasi of Indonesia was successfully closed on Monday.
A joint venture consortium by Chinese and Indonesian state-owned firms that runs the 142.3-km railway boasts the largest beam with 128 meters of main span length in the whole alignment.
The 273.6-meter-long beam with the main pier height of 25.5 meters and the beam height of 9.2 meters is closed under complex surrounding environment while crossing the expressway interchange cable-stayed bridge and two ramps.
So far, 14 out of 28 continuous beams have been closed.
The Chinese-backed construction has been half completed, covering 25 continuous beams in the whole alignment.
