(ECNS) -- A China-Vietnam cross-border freight train loaded with diesel engines, micro-tillers and auto parts set off on Wednesday from Nanning to Hanoi, capital of Vietnam.
The batch of commodities used for local agricultural production will arrive in Hanoi two days later.
China-Vietnam cross-border freight trains have exceeded 100, a target achieved about half a year earlier than 2020.
More than 20 kinds of China-Vietnam freight trains carrying fertilizers, electronic products, fruits and so on, have been launched since 2017.
The number of these freight trains had increased from 59 in 2018 to 166 in 2020. It is expected that the China-Vietnam freight trains will exceed 300 by the end of 2021, an increase of more than 80 percent year on year.
