(ECNS) -- A bamboo shoot broke through the concrete floor and grew rapidly inside a teacher's dormitory at Jingzhi Primary School in Taojiang, Hunan Province.
The shoot is now more than three meters high and nearing the ceiling. The school was erected on the site of a former bamboo forest.
There is a small bamboo forest next door to teachers' dormitories, where new shoots grow every March. For safety reasons, the school decided to dig the bamboo shoot out.
