(ECNS) -- The Chaoyang-Jinzhou High-speed Railway was successfully connected to the newly built Linghai South Station in Liaoning Province on Thursday.
It took over 10,000 workers less than 24 hours to complete the modification project. The transportation capacity of the Qinhuangdao-Shenyang section of Beijing-Harbin Railway has been strengthened, too. This is the largest scale, on-spot work on a Chinese railway ever.
The project was carried out from 6 am, May 26 to 5 am, May 27 in Qinhuangdao-Shenyang section. More than 12,000 workers and over 500 sets of large mechanical equipment took part in the construction.
Modifications will ensure the timely operation of Chaoyang-Jinzhou railway within 2021. It has shortened the travel time between cities in southeast Liaoning to Beijing.
