(ECNS) -- All 410 members of the 19th Chinese peacekeeping force to Lebanon were awarded the UN Peace Medal by the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), in recognition of their outstanding contribution to peace and stability in South Lebanon and post-disaster reconstruction in Beirut.
The force, which consists of multi-functional engineer detachment, construction engineer detachment and medical detachment, has accomplished many tasks with distinction and has been highly praised by UNIFIL, the Lebanese Government and the local people.
