(ECNS) -- Masterpieces displayed at Longpeng Art Museum on Sunday showcased the beauty of white porcelain.
Famous for its "whiteness" and delicate carving, Dehua porcelain is mild and smooth and has earned a name of "Chinese white."
Character images carved out of Dehua porcelain are elegant and lifelike.
Dehua white porcelain became one of the important export commodities on the Maritime Silk Road, boosting the prosperity of Quanzhou Port as early as the Song (960–1279) and Yuan dynasties (1271 to 1368).
