(ECNS) -- The fourth phase project of Taicang Port, the first automated container terminal in the Yangtze River, was completed and approved on Saturday.
The project covers a land area of 914,000 square meters, including 429,500 square meters of automated container yards.
It is equipped with unmanned operated and driverless container lorries, 5G base stations and remote video surveillance equipment, etc.
Chips had been installed to the port, unprecedented in China's port construction, so as to monitor its operation in real time.
The project will provide reference to the integrated management of construction, management and maintenance in the water transport industry in China.
