(ECNS) -- Box-style book houses in Qiongzhong's Yapo Village, a typical Li village, have provided reading chances for local people and also bridged rural and urban areas.
Opened in 2017, each book house has a different theme and a unique layout. Visitors can read here while enjoying pastoral scenery, said Feng Lilan, a person in charge.
Volunteers help with daily work here. Free salon themed reading, DIY, music drawing and so on are for local kids every week.
Urban people are also attracted by the book houses and their public welfare activities to experience Li ethnic people's life in this village.
