(ECNS) -- China's first przewalski's gazelle protection passage has been established in Gangca County, Qinghai, the first protection passage for a single wildlife species in Qinghai.
As a first-class protected animal in China, this species can be only found in the Qinghai Lake area now. It is listed as extremely endangered in China's Red List of Biodiversity of Vertebrates.
There are about 2,000 przewalski's gazelles in total by the end of 2020. It is called "plateau giant panda."
