(ECNS) -- Zhou Aile, from Gabon, has been living in China for 13 years since coming to the country to study in 2008.
She was encouraged to do so by her father who had anticipated China's huge development potential.
Zhou said Africans knew little about China since western media and TV programs had dominated the continent in the past.
As China has embarks on TV programs for its African audience, she chose to become an anchor and dubber thanks to her fluent Chinese, English and French.
She hopes Africans can learn more about China by showing them what she has seen here.
The African girl is also interested in Chinese popular culture. Like many Chinese young people, she likes watching short videos via the Douyin app, a Chinese short video platform like Tiktok.
She also makes her own short videos, which have attracted about 300,000 followers.
She said China has brought people like her a lot of chances and changed their mind, making them more confident.
Also, she likes the Chinese culture that people caring about and helping each other.
Except for introducing China to her compatriots through TV shows, the girl also helps solve cultural differences between China and Africa at the Embassy of Gabon in China.
She said she hopes to promote China-Africa cultural exchanges though her work.
