(ECNS) -- Three artificially bred zebra sharks, two females and one male, made their debut on Tuesday at the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Zhuhai.
This is the second time that the park has successfully bred zebra sharks.
At present, three baby zebra sharks live in a breeding pool with the water temperatures between 26.3℃ and 26.8℃.
The sharks are fed with minced meat made from prawns, squid, tortoises and other food.
Due to their special gill muscles, they suck up food in one gulp like a vortex vacuum.
Therefore, shark keepers have made special feeding tools for baby sharks to avoid direct contact between humans and animals.
The zebra shark was listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 2015.
