(ECNS) -- Wearing a scimitar-like sporting prosthesis and standing before the track, Chen Yimei, 28, is dubbed the "blade warrior".
Chen's left leg was amputated at 9. She joined Team Sichuan in 2013 and began her sporting career.
Chen has grabbed 10 gold medals in the international and national arena.
She is also the national record keeper in Women's 100m T63 (a grading standard for the disabled) and long jump.
To prepare for the National Games for the Disabled this October, Chen trains 10 hours on average daily.
Chen eyes the Paralympics as her ultimate dream.
