(ECNS) -- Chen Siyang, a five-year-old girl from Xinyu City, has become popular on the Internet for knocking down seven paper cups one by one with Ping Pong balls in 31 seconds.
The little girl fell in love with table tennis when she was three, influenced by her grandfather Chen Dangmin, a table tennis lover. She has been playing table tennis for nearly two years.
"There was a Ping Pong table in my home and I began to teach her to play when she was three and a half. I found she behaved better than her peers after half a year's training, so I wanted to find her a professional coach, because I am an amateur," said Chen Dangmin.
"We've arranged a full-time coach for her because of her age. She made great progress when she was four and a half. She is very talented. Children usually begin to play Ping Pong at her age," said her coach Gu Yingjun.
Chen will train for six hours during her summer vacation, playing 4,000 to 5,000 balls a day. She must also do physical training like sprinting and rope skipping every day.
Netizens expressed their expectations for her, such as calling her "the future world champion." But her mother said the future choice depends on herself.
