(ECNS) -- A on-site group meeting on high-efficiency utilization model of saline-alkali soil was held in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Saturday.
Experts randomly sampled three rice fields of 0.98 mu (about 653 square meters), 0.82 mu, and 0.86 mu, respectively.
The average yield per mu of the rice demonstration plot is 537.5 kg on the saline-alkali land, with a PH value of 8.8 -- 9.6 and salinity of 5‰ -- 6‰.
In 2019, the average yield per mu of salt-alkali resistant rice was 508.8 kg.
It has exceeded 500 kg per mu for three consecutive years.
