(ECNS) -- A rare Assamese macaque was filmed by a photography lover in the surrounding areas of the Xiaoheishan Provincial Nature Reserve in Longling County, Baoshan.
The video footage shows that the wild animal was entertaining itself in a primeval forest, looking very cute.
In Longling, Assamese macaque usually inhabits in the Xiaoheishan Provincial Nature Reserve and the surrounding areas.
As the second-class protected animal in China, the species has been listed as "near threatened" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in 2008.
