(ECNS) -- A series of celebration activities was held in Liangping District, Chongqing on Thursday, the day which marks the 4th Chinese farmers' harvest festival.
Artists from Chongqing Grand Theatre played symphony for this year's harvest in a paddy field in Liangping.
"Shaiqiu", or drying crops in autumn sunshine, is a traditional Chinese agricultural custom inherited from ancient times.
With 720,000 mu (about 48,000 hectares) of paddy field, Liangping is a traditional agricultural area and has earned the reputation of the Barn of China's Sichuan and Chongqing since ancient times.
Liangping is also dubbed "Little Chengdu" for its agricultural civilization.
