(ECNS) -- China's first domestically made icebreaker Xuelong 2 returned to Shanghai on Tuesday, marking the completion of China's 12th Arctic scientific expedition.
The team set off from Shanghai on July 12, covering 14,000 nautical miles in 79 days.
Focusing on climate change and the Arctic ecological environment protection, the expedition completed comprehensive observation of atmosphere, ocean, and ecology in the Chukchi Sea, and achieved many scientific research achievements.
