(ECNS)--Once a national treasure of endangered species, the giant panda now has the wild population ofover 1,800, with the level of threat of the species being reduced from endangered to vulnerable.
Similarly, as a result ofever-growing efforts in eco-protection and anti-poaching, the population of Tibetan antelopehas surged from less than 70,000 to the present 300,000, with this level of threat being reduced from endangered to vulnerable.
All these downgrading come as the result of decades of huge investmentof human and material resourcesin conserving the ecologyand biodiversity of China.
