(ECNS) -- A group of grey crowned cranes were spotted in Hengshan Xuanzhou National Wetland Park in Hengyang, Central China's Hunan Province, for the first time by staff on daily patrol.
Grey crowned cranes are second-class protected animals in China.
The Wetland Park has been fully implementing ecological restoration and wetland protection in recent years, providing a suitable environment for migratory birds.
Now the wetland has become a vital transfer station for migratory birds, with the various species increasing from 85 in 2014 to 135.
