(ECNS) -- Chen Zhouyang, a 10-year-old girl from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, broke three jujitsu world records Saturday afternoon, all three verified by Unison World Record.
They include rolling the most times in a contortion backbend in a minute (44 times), picking up the most flowers with the mouth in a contortion backbend in a minute (20 flowers), and traveling 20 meters in a contortion roll in the fastest time (11.98 seconds). Chen had three opportunities for each record, but succeeded in her first attempt each time.
The little girl was not surprised by her world-record-breaking success.
"This is not unexpected. I've been training harder in the past few days because I know I can trust my hard work. Next, I want to break the world record of rolling 45 times in a contortion backbend in one minute," said Chen.
Chen learned about and fell in love with jujitsu before Spring Festival in 2019 when she received a jujitsu video from a relative, said Chen's father Chen Yong.
Many props were picked up from outside and modified by her father due to their poor economic condition.
The father said he hopes his daughter could continue to train while doing a good job at school.
The girl relies more on diligence than her gift in jujitsu, said Jiang Liguo, the girl's martial arts teacher.
