(ECNS) -- On patrol in Xueli Village, an emergency police unit in Mangyun, Yunnan Province, spotted a bird bleeding from a head injury perched on a roadside wire fence.
The injured crested goshawk is a second-class protected wild animal in China.
The bird was later taken to the police station for assessment and care before being transferred to Yingjiang Forest Public Security Branch to recover ahead of its release.
