(ECNS) -- Zeng Dan, a craftsman in Jingxi, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, has made a large musical instrument called "Zhuangniuhu".
This large bowed string instrument is 88-centimeter long, the sheepskin surface of the sound box is 58-centimeter wide, while the neck stretches 2.23 meters.
This "Zhuangniuhu" belongs to the dihu (bass erhu) family, pitching below erhu. It is a traditional Chinese musical instrument with the same structure as an erhu but a larger soundbox, thicker timbre and louder sound. It took Zeng years to build it.
