(ECNS) -- Altay has rolled out a new project allowing tourists to get on horseback after getting off the airplane when they arrive in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
The Welcoming Horse Road under construction at the Altay airport stretches 11.5 km, which is the major part at present.
Xinjiang will continue to create horse riding routes at various locations, including railway stations and the Jiangjun Mountain Ski Resort.
All the projects are built in accordance with international technical safety standards. This region has a long history of horse breeding and profound horse culture. With these equestrian vacation projects, the government aims to promote local tourism and the employment of farmers and herdsmen.
