Main part of largest offshore wind power project in N China completed

(ECNS) -- With the last wind turbine installed Thursday, the main part of the offshore wind power projectⅣ1 in Dalian is ready for operation.

It will be the offshore wind power project with the largest single capacity and highest latitude in North China.

The project hasan installed capacity of 350 megawatts and is expected to generate 960 million kWh of on-grid electricity annually, enough to meet the annual demand of 960,000 households.

Compared with coal power plants of the same scale, it will save 308,000 tons of standard coal and reduce 663,000 tons of emissions. This creates considerable economic and environmental benefits.
