Shenzhou XIII crew conduct second spacewalk

(ECNS) -- Shenzhou XIII mission crew Ye Guangfu opened the door of Tianhe core module, one component of China's Tiangong Space Station, at 18:44. (Beijing Time) on Sunday.

Ye and his colleague, Chinese astronaut Zhai Zhigang, both wearing China's new homemade Feitian spacesuit, successively conducted their second spacewalk at 18:50 and 19:37.

Astronaut Wang Yaping stayed inside the Tiangong space station to follow the instructions from Earth and support Ye and Zhai while manipulating the robotic arm.

Ye and Zhai will cooperate with each other to adjust the position of an extracurricular panoramic camera and conduct other operations.

Extracurricular activities will become a normal part of Chinese astronauts in conducting space missions in China's future space missions.

More complex extracurricular activities will be conducted to support future constructions and the normal operation of Tiangong space station.
