(ECNS) -- Metro Line 20 became the first fully self-driving line in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province on Tuesday.
The 8-carriage metro trains can run at a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
They can automatically finish instructions of opening and closing doors, entering and leaving stations.
The 8.43-kilometer line has five underground stations.
The number of Shenzhen's metro lines will reach 12 after official operation of the Metro Line 20, with the total operating mileage amounting to 419 kilometers.
