(ECNS) -- Sustainable designs were incorporated for the long-term operation of Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou, co-host city of the 2022 Winter Olympics in north China's Hebei Province.
The Winter Olympics sports facilities were built on existing ones. Construction optimizes local resources and minimizes environmental impact.
Genting Snow Park is a venue for the 2022 Winter Olympics starting next February in Beijing and Zhangjiakou.
The park will host 20 events related to freestyle skiing and snowboarding, and eight snowboard obstacle and slope rotation events.
The competition site will witness 20 Winter Olympics and 8 Winter Paralympics medalists, topping all competition sites of the Winter Olympics.
