(ECNS) -- China's Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway celebrated its second anniversary on Thursday.
The rail line has 12 stations and connects China's capital Beijing with Zhangjiakou in north China's Hebei Province.
It is the main railway transportation for the upcoming Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
About 40,000 trains, transporting a total of 13.8 million tourists, have shuttled on the railway line, with 19,000 tourists commuting daily on the line since its operation.
Transportation services for the Winter Olympics will kick off on Jan. 21 next year and conclude by March 16.
Train crew from the railway system will provide designated services to athletes and staff members under closed-loop management due to COVID-19 concerns.
Railway stations alongside the line will offer customer service in English and Chinese during the Winter Olympics.
Other services including barrier-free facilities are also provided on bullet trains.
